At large and medium-sized enterprises of the country, according to the Kazakh Statistics Committee, the Ist of quarter 2016 was marked by a significant deterioration of the employment of potential employees as well as the preservation of existing employment sites.
If to look at the dynamics of the labor force in large and medium-sized enterprises, we can see a significant slowdown in the acceptance and retirement of the labor force. For example, in 2012, 300 thousand people were hired for work during a quarter and 154 thousand people were employed in the Ist quarter of 2016.
You can also note the trend that began in 2015, when the number of retiring workforce exceeded the number of accepted and the Ist quarter of 2016 shows a maximum "gap" between these indicators - 38 725 people.
A significant negative trend is also decrease of staff at large and medium-sized enterprises due to the reduction or elimination of business. If during the period of 2012-2015, the maximum retirement for these reasons, up to 8 thousand people, then 11 469 people retired in the Ist quarter of 2016. The greatest reductions are observed in the sector of Information and Communication (4719 people), manufacturing industry (1,316 people) and public administration (1312 persons).
Regionally, in the Ist quarter of 2016, the balance of the labor movement (recruited - eliminated from their jobs) have negative performance in almost all areas, except in the Atyrau and Mangistau regions. "Leader" in the balance of the labor movement is Almaty. The number of employees of large and medium-sized enterprises in Almaty, Karaganda, Astana, EKR and SKR also reduce.
In terms of sectors of the economy, we can observe an increase in the dismissed labor force to the recruited labor force (in 13 of 17 major industries). The highest negative balance indicator of workers movement was recorded in the trade sector, manufacturing industry, construction and public administration.
The increase in employment was observed in health and education, most of them belong to the public sector, which is one of the factors of the expansion of government involvement in the economy.
